Murph for Australia
On January 18th, a brave group of Crossfit Amsterdam members and few friends decided it would be a great day to complete Murph.
For those who don't know, 1 mile run, 100 Pull ups, 200 Push ups, 300 Air squats, 1 mile run and all with a weight vest is bound to be a tough afternoon.
The purpose of the afternoon wasn't just to complete Murph but to try and raise some funds to help out some charities assisting in the bush fires in Australia.
Donations were done the old fashioned way - cash in a jar!
Everyone pushed through and judging by how sore most people were for a few days after all the athletes attacked the workout with intensity. The best thing was watching the entire community cheer on every single athlete and make sure that all their friends finished.
The coaches and management team would like to thank every single person who donated to the cause, whether Murph was completed or not. The donations recevied are a direct reflection of the quality of the people inside of CrossFit Amsterdam.
The total raised on the day came to a grand total of $1135
Once again a huge thank you to eveyone who participated and those who donated - We thank you from the bottom of our heart.
